About

I am Julia.
I help support people in their search for the authentic part of themselves. I work in private practice, at the moment my counselling work is all Online or on the telephone, from my practice room in Hertfordshire.
I am a qualified and experienced Person-Centred Counsellor, but I do integrate a wide range of techniques and theories, tailoring my approach to suit you. My practice offers counselling, mindfulness, creativity and compassion

Why me?
I have experience of working with people with a wide range of concerns including loss, bereavement, the pressure of caring, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, general growth and personal development.
I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I have done training with Cruse Bereavement Care, the College of Sound Healing and I am Breathworks Mindfulness trained and qualified teacher working with clients in using mindfulness to explore diverse issues such as balancing life and work pressures, stress, anxiety and pain.
I am a Certified Cyber Therapist and trained with the Online Therapy Institute, who provide a high level of training for counsellors and psychotherapists working online.
I have worked as an Adult Learning Tutor, for MIND teaching Mindfulness courses and with Watford Women’s Centre as a Counsellor. I have delivered Mindfulness, Meditation and Relaxation related trainings at the Women’s Centre and for Herts Carers. Until recently, pre Covid, I was supporting Carers at Watford Memory Cafe, run by the Watford and Three Rivers Trust. I have worked extensively online with people sharing mindfulness.
I am fully insured and committed to a regular programme of Continuing Professional Development and monthly Clinical Supervision.
