What is Mindful Sound and how does it work?

People have used sound in relaxation and healing for thousands of years.  The sounds, tones and vibrations we experience with a gong can help us on many levels. They can connect us to our feelings and help release our emotions, rebooting our nervous system by creating a state of deep peace and connection. A gong bath is a special and unique experience.

Once lockdown is over, you can book for a 1-2-1- Mindful Sound Journey.  Prices start at £50 per hour.  For prices on groups, event or corporate gong baths please contact me.

The sciencey bit

Science has shown everything in the universe is made up of energy and vibrates at different frequencies – this includes us. We know that the human body is on average made of 57-60% water. This makes us amazingly responsive to sound and vibration and the possibilities and potential of changes at a cellular level.

Our body and brain work together. If one part is out of balance it will be reflected in our emotional and physical health – such as stress, anxiety, sleep issues, depression etc. Sound therapy can quickly transport us into a relaxing and meditative state (alpha brainwaves), and then carry us into a deeper sleep like state where we can connect and let go of our fears and concerns (theta brainwaves). Sometimes the brainwaves really slow into a very deep dreamless state where profound changes can happen (delta brainwaves).
